As an example of how the Drupal documentation writers (or, in this case, contributed module documentation writers) don’t seem to understand what a true newbie is, I’ll note here a crucial detail missing from the Nice Menus documentation. The documentation exists, which is a good thing already, and it’s even reasonably robust. However, there’s nothing telling the true greenhorn that turning on Nice Menus and setting the number of them you want automatically creates that number of blocks. You don’t explicitly create a Nice Menu block, you configure one of the ones provisioned for you. I spent way too much time searching for the menus I had created, but let’s hope you’re now saved some time.
