Meyerweb alerted me to the fact that Pioneer 10 has gone offline, as it were. Among the interesting facts for those of us who were or are interested in space travel (I still would love to be an astronaut if I didn't have to know so much dern science):

Comment #2 :: link :: February 27, 2003 09:00 AMAs well, I found it interesting that Pioneer’s destination is Aldebaran, just two letters removed from Alderan! And Pioneer was even launched before Episode IV! Maybe there really is a rebellion out there, and we’re trying to help it.
