This is causing problems for Tony Blair since they only took bids from US companies. Blair had to explain to a question from his own party in front of the house of commons why it was that no UK companies were allowed to bid for the reconstruction contracts. This is really piss poor politics on our part since he's making a far larger political gamble than Bush in backing this, and W isn't even throwing him a bone. Poor show, really.
