While zapping computers might be a bit much, Hatch reminds us that when you're stealing, you're stealing. I like the recent technology deployed by the recording industry that puts a message on illegal downloaders' screens saying, basically, "We know who you are, so-and-so, and you will be sued into the ground if you keep this up."

Downloaders who were weaned on the idea that works created and recorded by others should be free for the taking are slowly learning that that bygone era has passed, and reality has taken its place. And, of course, that now's a very good time to stop being a thief.
