Cute animated movie from Huffington's campaign. Shows what you can do with flash technology and the Space Ghost method of cutting up speech samples for phonemes and then re-arranging them to generate new speech using an actors real voice. Note also that Arianna never says anything herself here.

When you watch it, it is true that Arianna doesn't say anything; but then again, she doesn't have to. The flash movie speaks eloquently on her behalf.
As a hybrid car owner myself, I can tell you that we can fall victim to smug self-righteousness, but hey: when the exhaust that comes out of my 2001 Toyota Prius is cleaner than the ambient air in Los Angeles, we can damn-well be self-righteous! :-)
Oh, I dunno. Self-righteousness doesn’t get very good MPG, except if you’re Ed Begley, Jr.
Comment #2 :: link :: September 30, 2003 09:00 AM"the ambient air in Los Angeles" -- wasn't that an album by Thievery Corporation?
Comment #3 :: link :: October 2, 2003 09:00 AMNo, it was a live album by that French electronica group.
Comment #4 :: link :: October 2, 2003 09:00 AMYes, there was a "60 Minutes" segment on the Prius, and that was the claim made by a Toyota spokesman: that the exhaust was cleaner than either of the two albums you guys mentioned.
Comment #5 :: link :: October 3, 2003 09:00 AMBTW, just got a press release from Toyota:
"The numbers are in--the all-new 2004 Toyota Prius recently received its EPA-estimated ratings of 60 mpg city and 51 mpg highway. That's a combined city/highway average of 55 mpg--the highest fuel economy of any mid-size car."
And yes, Ed Begley, Jr. drives Prius too.
