Flower-Power Could Help Clear Land mines

Yeah -- this article didn't quote the objections of people in the field (pun intended). Let me quickly paraphrase them
1. Many mines are sealed, so they wont be leaking NO2, and wont be detectible, but still will be dangerous.
2. Planting cress will attract livestock and humans to these perhaps dangerous areas.
3. Confirmation that a field is cleared still has to be done by hand, so it's not speeding things up.
4. It's still not that cheap.
and 5 (if I read between the lines)
The guy who was commenting said look, we've had dogs and bees get into the act, and now a weed, but these are all technological distractions. In the end, we still need people to clear the fields and it's still expensive. So let's spend money on that, and not on new fangled techno-solutions.
And much as I think the cress is (are?) cool, I think he may be right on this one. The bees on the other hand, they're posed to push humans right out of the biz.
