Now you know. Can you get a longer chain than 26?

How long before Bobby Rondinelli gets his derseved spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?! I've discovered that he and some other largely unrecognized names are missing links from The Beatles to such artists as Beastie Boys, Bad Brains, Jane's Addiction, Nirvana, The Replacements, or The Pixies (etc.). Try connecting any 60s band to artists of today, and you almost without exception will see the following names as part of the middle of the chain: Bobby Rondinelli, Ritchie Blackmore, David Coverdale (before Whitesnake), and Tony Franklin? Surprisingly, in many cases, these artistes are the links connecting two different contemporary bands to one another. Try, for example, to connect Def Leppard to Anthrax, or even the would-have-been-forgotten-if-not-for-a-terrible-Rhode Island-fire hair-band Great White to Dinosaur Jr., and you still go back into that fabled time in the 1970s when Rondinelli, Blackmore, Coverdale, and Franklin were rockin' the house ... obviously some of this is the algorhythm, which is not interested in anything more than the shortest chain (not the most sensible), but still, I wonder if it's onto something ...
