I have trouble fixing the date on this, but I'm guessing it was ten years ago. A friend was waiting for lumber for his roof deck (6th Avenue and 3rd Street, basically), and I was there to help him unload it from the crane which was going to arrive and hoist it to the roof. While waiting, we saw a pick up truck up go by full of pigeons in coops. We were very mystified. The best we could do was figure they were rented for some kind of film shoot.
