Really really great Sturges farce that manages to skewer what today the pols would today call "traditional values" while managing to avoid the Code censors. William Demarest steals the movie as the local cop (and father of the wayward bride), while Diana Lynn is socko as the wise (in all meanings of the word) kid sister -- the same role she had in The Major and the Minor. Thanks to Thudfactor for recommending this 4 star comedy.
