I guess the first one is believable (who hasn't heard something inappropriate on the subway?), but the second (with the bimbos unable/unwilling to understand the stranger) seems like a cable version of Seinfeld.

Are you sure this isn't a marketing campaign to get us to ride the subway with iPods/earphones off?
