In the latest Pak Talks Comics column, Greg answers my burning questions about gladiators, why it's so hard to make a good comic book movie, and how the heck you write for the Hulk. If you didn't pick up every ish, grab the Planet Hulk paperback -- there's a reason why all the fans are raving about Greg's Hulk story.
Hi! I found your blog last week and really enjoyed your interview with Greg Pak. Like you, I've always wondered why comics movies are generally so bad. Pak's answers make a lot of sense, but I think there's a bit of disappointment inherent in seeing super powers used on the screen. For me at least, CGI shots always look too fake to be believable, but -at the same time- are so bombastic that my imagination shuts off. Reading comics lets my mind run free and interpret the images in any way I want, which I find to be much more enjoyable. Great questions! And cool blog, I'll definitely be back. -Justin
