Check out my company's new 3D, human anatomy web site. It's a complete, fully interactive, 3D human body model, with detailed models of all body systems, now out in a public beta version. The Visible Body includes over 1,700 anatomical structures, including all major organs and systems of the human body. You can search by name, and it launches directly in Internet Explorer (sorry, Mac people!).

Wonderful, amazing system, congratulations - but why were you not able to get this to work for Mac or Linux/Unix users?
Why the need to use proprietary Microsoft technologies? It's not as if it *couldn't* be done.

Philip, re Mac and Linux: this is just our public beta. Our eventual goal is to build a version that works on all popular browser/platform configurations. For our first, beta release, we went for the most popular configuration. Hope you'll hang in there with us.

He's so old!) there was a series of models: The Visible Man, The Visible Woman, The Visible Dog, etc. The Visible Woman had extra parts for showing a pregnancy. The muscles, bones and organs were encased in a clear plastic shell which passed for skin.
My Old World Book Encyclopedia had something similar, where you could peel off layers to see inside the human body.
But they weren't virtual. This is cool.
