There's always the discussion about the worst Christmas song (my money is still on "Dominick the Donkey"), but what is the worst song ever?
Well, here it is, the worst song -- or rather, the most unwanted song, as determined by the polling artsters (or arty pollsters?) Komar & Melamid. The folks at MeFi love it, though. Maybe you will too.

Most unwanted??? Are they kidding? It's like Frank Zappa meets Captain Beefheart meets The Shaggs meets Le Pétomane meets Spike Jones meets some disgruntled Madison Avenue ad exec who's just given his two weeks' notice. Taken individually, I can see how elements of this would annoy, but here the whole is definitely greater than the square root of its parts. I love it!
Comment #1 :: link :: December 16, 2007 12:59 PMThat being said, the Most Wanted Song probably had me laughing even harder. It was that second key modulation toward the end that did it. Once would have been just like every other piece of pap ever written, three times would have been overkill. The perfect piece of completely unredeemable schmaltz.
