Check out Brooklyn's youngest band, T-Rox!
That's Gillian Harwin, our Child Technician and Music Professor, on the guitar.
... kids these days are little whippersnappers, let me tell you. I received a press release the other day (a press release!) about a record-release party for a band calling itself T-Rox. The album, "Burnt Marshmallow," is the product of 7-year-olds Ben Everett-Lane and Max Kessler. The duo sent me their CD, which I promptly converted to 8-track so I could listen to it -- and I was blown away! The song "TV Rots your Brain" is an instant classic. The record-release party is on Nov. 1 and I was told there would be veggie booty.
You can hear more songs on their MySpace page and see more videos from the release party for "Burnt Marshmallow".

Hey Mike! Congrats! Dan was 15 when he did his CD. You have seen his precocity and halved it. Wow! Great stuff!
Liz thinks that we should listen to the cd before commenting, but I think that this way is much safer. :-)
I'm very glad to see Ish back. I went through a lot of withdrawal symptoms, and now you are gonna hook me once again. :-(
As for the election, did you notice that just one week after Obama won, the banks are closed and soldiers are marching in the streets?
Comment #1 :: link :: November 11, 2008 10:32 PMI have Burnt Marshmallow ripped to my iPod/iPhone and have been enjoying it greatly.
In fact, I added the searing hip-hop jam "Jungle Rap" added to my "Latest" mix -- it's been coming up on my headphones while I commute in-between tracks by the Killers and Kanye West. The line about eating piranhas is pretty badass when you're walking down NYC streets...
